Steve Fierberg - Director of Photography
A native of Detroit, Steven Fierberg went to Stanford University as a National Merit Scholar before commuting between New York and Los Angeles working as a cinematographer. His many feature film credits include 29th Street, Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills, Spike of Bensonhurst, The Joyriders, Nightmare on Elm Street IV and Aspen Extreme. Fierberg has added his touch by doing additional photography on films including Moulin Rouge, Diary of a Hitman, Boxing Helena and Sid & Nancy. Of his many television credits, Fierberg drew attention for his work on USA Network's spectacular epic adventure Attila, produced by Alphaville, which became the second highest rated cable film in history. Fierberg has also done many television commercials and music videos, working with artists such as Dr. Dre, Queen Latifah, Tim McGraw, and Snoop Dog.
In addition to being a skilled cinematographer, Fierberg received an M.F.A. in directing from the prestigious American Film Institute. His directing debut, Sea Life, premiered at the Sundance and Montreal film festivals. He also teaches courses such as 'Directing the Camera' annually at the Maine Photographic Workshops.
